The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Concentration in Banking and Finance will prepare students with the skills necessary to meet business demands of the future. The program provides students with an extensive management background, excellent business preparation, development of human relations and communications skills, complete understanding and incorporation of total quality management, awareness of ethics in business, and a firm background in international business. In addition, the program will allow students to gain a more detailed understanding of banking and finance. Many of our students are placed into internships with regional financial institutions, significantly increasing the students\\\' marketability upon graduation. Students seeking a position directly or indirectly in finance should consider this program, given the need for specialist and non-specialist managers who have a solid understanding of finance. Professionals already working in the area of finance, but seeking a degree from an accredited institution, can apply coursework as continuing education credits from the state to satisfy licensure requirements. Students completing the program are strongly encouraged to take the Series 6 and 63 securities license exams. Students are encouraged to use electives to complete courses leading to the Financial Planning minor and become eligible to sit for the CFP? certification examination. The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Banking and Finance Concentration will offer students the opportunity to apply for supervisory/management positions in all business environments with special emphasis in the banking and financial areas. Beginning as management trainees in most instances, graduates will be able to advance because of the preparation in general business practices and more specific study in banking and finance.
