The need to use drawing as a tool for conceiving and then working through an idea becomes self-evident as students progress through the art curriculum. PSU?s program is dedicated to helping students use drawing as a means for developing ideas, in addition to completing more formally created pieces. Students are offered new insights as artists as they develop their drawing methods and media skills. They are challenged to become highly interactive participants in the drawing process wherein perception, analysis, interpretation and communication are integrated with the acquisition of drawing skills and techniques in preparation for life as a mature artist.
