Practical Nurse from Reading Area Community College is a Campus Certificate Nursing Practice degree that prepares you for a Nursing career. The Practical Nurse Program is one year in length, plus the amount of time needed to complete the appropriate pre-requisite courses. This program can only be pursued on a full-time basis. Candidates who have not previously attended college will be required to take the RACC placement test, for determination of pre-requisite courses, if any. Transcripts from colleges previously attended will be reviewed for approval of transfer courses. Transcripts without a math course will require the candidate to take the math component of the placement test. Math skills will be tested in the spring semester of the program. Students must pass the math exam with an 85 percent or above to continue in the program. All prerequisite courses must be completed with a \\\"C\\\" grade or better.
