Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University is a Campus Master Counseling degree that prepares you for a Healthcare career. The Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) prepares the student for professional licensure in a community or school setting.* This 60-credit-hour program combines contemporary counseling techniques and theories with a solid Biblical foundation for a spiritual balance in the counseling approach. Those desiring further study will be poised for the pursuit of doctoral degrees including the Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision. Designed to meet the 2001 CACREP Standards, the coursework is done online in three years with a seven-day residency at Regent\\\'s campus in Virginia Beach, Va., each August. This degree is a high-demand addition to the quality programs we offer, meeting the needs of students who are preparing to become competent mental health counselors through a Christian integrated program but need to complete their studies at a distance. Students can complete their program with either a clinical mental health or school counseling focus. For the same number of credit hours, students may also select a combination track of both to make themselves more marketable in this changing economy. Enrollment is limited to allow close student-faculty interaction, and despite the convenience of online learning, this program is just as challenging and rigorous as our on-campus programs.
