Specifically he/she will demonstrate knowledge of the dimensions of learning and will employ appropriate teaching strategies for ensuring their acquisition by the learner. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional growth by regularly examining his/her own academic knowledge and competence, assuming responsibility for his/her own learning and development through engaging in the study of current research, participating in the activities of professional organizations, and manifesting an attitude of acceptance of change and a willingness to experiment with new alternatives in teaching and learning. Demonstrate an understanding of the unique learning characteristics, needs, and capacities of children on different ages and developmental levels, of different cultural and language backgrounds, and of varying exceptionalities. Demonstrate a functional knowledge of the changing roles of education in our society, the goals of public and private education, and the organization of the school curricula as reflected in these goals. Develop self-awareness and an understanding of their own worldview and how that perspective influences their own learning and teaching .
