The program requires candidates to complete three stages of professional development that include 36 hours or eleven courses in six semesters. One group of candidates takes all eleven courses together, making it a cohort model. A new cohort will be initiated each fall semester. The goal of the M.Ed. Program in Early Childhood Education is to transform professional educators into distinguished responsive classroom teachers, action researchers, and instructional leaders.
