Nursing Professional from Rivier College is a Campus Bachelor Registered Nurse degree that prepares you for a Nursing career. The Division of Nursing offers a professional track Bachelor of Science Degree program for recent high school graduates. Students take science and core courses in the first year and begin the nursing sequence in the sophomore year. Upon completing their third year, students are awarded an Associate of Science Degree, sit for the national NCLEX-RN examination for RN licensure, and complete the Bachelor of Science degree in the fourth year. Students are required to pass the NCLEX-RN examination prior to enrolling in the Professional Nursing Capstone course in their senior year. Nursing education includes extensive hands-on experience in the clinical area. Clinical nursing courses may include two clinical days or evenings, two weekend days, or one 12-hour day in addition to two theory classes each week.
