Social Work from Roberts Wesleyan College is a Campus Bachelor Sociology degree that prepares you for a Human Services career. Overview Get the facts about the difference that an undergraduate social work degree at RWC can make. 1. We are a Council of Social Work Education (CSWE) fully accredited social work program that offers the potential for students to complete a traditional 4-year curriculum plan or our challenging but time maximizing 3-year curriculum plan. Either plan opens the door to eligibility for the advanced standing one-year masters program in any other accredited social work program in the country. 2. Our faculty (3 full-time and 2 part-time adjuncts) serve as both advisors and mentors, sharing their practice and research expertise, their faith journeys and their time both in and out of the classroom. 3. Our location is in the human service rich City of Rochester, New York. We have over 250 placement sites that can match any student\\\'s field interests. Our distance learning technology also enables us to send students to field placements in Washington DC with the Salvation Army National headquarters, to the mission field in Costa Rica and even to an army base in Kentucky. 4. Our Student Social Work Association (SSWA) provides opportunities to develop leadership skills, take road trips to urban settings, and participate in sponsored cultural life lectures. In the past, SSWA has brought to campus Lisa Thompson who spoke about her world-wide efforts to combat the sexual trafficking of women; Jesse Casler of Hope International who discussed his fight against poverty; and former CIA chief information officer, Al Tarasiuk, who spoke on the topic of forensic social work practice. 5. We teach from the spiritually enriched ecological systems perspective that both integrates faith and fosters spiritual development and sensitivity in working with all client systems. This perspective inextricably links both the college mission with the BSW program mission, goals and objectives. View more details on Roberts Wesleyan College .
