While our subject matter is the past, the principal goal of the Rockford College history department is to encourage students to read and think critically and to write well in order to more fully interact with their present and future worlds. Because of a shared perspective, some major and minor requirements are waived for students in the Honors Program in Liberal Arts. Internships in museum work and in other areas can be arranged.
