Clinical learning experiences occur at a variety of mental health agencies. The Master of Science degree prepares clinical nurse specialists for leadership and change agent roles in mental health promotion and therapeutic clinical practice. They are also prepared to deliver, administer, consult, educate and research as part of the advanced practice role in nursing. For students who already have a master's degree in nursing other than as a Psychiatric nurse clinician and would like to obtain this certificate, an individual plan of study can be arranged.
