Nursing from Saint Louis University - Main Campus is a Campus Bachelor Registered Nurse degree that prepares you for a Nursing career. Overview: The School of Nursing is located on Saint Louis University?s prestigious Health Sciences Center Campus, which is directly across from Saint Louis University Hospital and Cardinal Glennon Hospital, two of the sites where students complete clinicals. The School has state-of-the-art clinical skills lab, classrooms and lecture halls, complete computing facilities, library and resources on its campus. Curriculum: Students are admitted to the School of Nursing as freshmen nursing students. Nursing courses are introduced in the freshment year of study. The School of Nursing has clinical agreements with more than 50 off-campus hospitals, clinics and other agencies in the St. Louis area. Students complete nursing clinical experiences in pediatrics, OB, medical/surgical, gerontology, public health and psychiatric/mental health at these sites. Nursing faculty involve students in off-campus community health and wellness fairs and vaccine and flu clinics, which provides them with additional experience. The student-teacher ratio for clinical courses at the School is 8/1. The School is fully accredited by the NLN and the Mo. Board of Nursing and has preliminary approval by CCNE. Careers: Students who successfully complete the BSN program are eligible to take the NCLEX, the licensing exam for RNs. Graduates of the program have the education and experience to take nursing jobs in any area of nursing that hires new RNs. The nursing job market is extremely good nationwide.
