The business administration discipline at St. Norbert College awards three majors with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree: General Business Administration Accounting International Business and Language Area Studies (IBLAS) In the general business administration major, students have the option of focusing their advanced electives in one of five concentration areas: General Management Marketing Finance Human Resource Management Global Business The Global Business concentration provides students extensive knowledge of the cultural issues involved when doing business in foreign countries, with significant training in a foreign language and a required semester overseas in a country where the students' chosen language is spoken. The accounting sequence results in a 4-year B.B.A. degree which prepares students to work in organizations such as service, banking and manufacturing. Why study business administration? The business administration discipline recognizes the General Education program as the basis for its particular curricula. Each business administration major and concentration supports the General Education program by helping students develop skills for effective communication, problem-solving and logical decision-making. These curricula also help students develop an understanding of ethical issues.
