Description The Low Incidence Disabilities and Autism (LIDA) program is a blend of special education and applied behavior analysis coursework. This program has two degree options: Master of Arts (thesis) Master of Education (non-thesis) Both degree types provide the academic foundations and supervised field experience for becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Our LIDA program complies with existing standards for professional certification set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. We welcome students from a variety of backgrounds; students do not need to have an undergraduate degree in education . Most students take two courses per semester and graduate with a degree in Special Education in two years. Evening classes are offered at the main campus and the University Center. Summer courses are offered in the late afternoons and early evenings. The LIDA program may also be completed entirely at the University Park in Tomball.
