Students learn types of financing sources; loans and loan processing; government loans, methods of financing residential properties; with an overview of financing business, income, commercial and industrial properties; and the property appraisal and taxation. Students learn the day-to-day operations in a real estate office including listings, valuations, prospecting, selling, financing, exchanges, taxation and specialized brokerage operations. Students evaluate the trends an factors that affect the value of real estate; the nature and classification of land economics; the development of property, construction and subdivision, economic values and real estate evaluation; real estate cycles and business fluctuations; residential market trends; real property and special purpose property trends.
