Nursing - RN from Santa Monica College is a Campus Associate Registered Nurse degree that prepares you for a Nursing career. The objectives of this program are to prepare students to meet the minimum standards of the California Board of Registered Nursing and employment in the field. Students must complete all requirements for the Associate degree in order to graduate from this program (exception: LVN 30 unit option). Upon completion, graduates are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensing Examination to become a Registered Nurse . Students must achieve a minimum grade of C in all prerequisite courses, as well as, each nursing course in order to remain enrolled and complete the program. A grade of C or higher must also be maintained in all other required courses in the nursing curriculum.
