The objective of the Stillman School?s management program is to develop the skills and capabilities for managers to meet today?s management challenges. Specifically, the management concentration teaches you how to: plan strategically; organize human and material resources effectively; and control business operations efficiently. You?ll have the opportunity to work with a diverse and energetic faculty who have a rich variety of research interests, including strategic planning, the impact of flexible work schedules on employees and organizations, how to start a new business, business ethics and social responsibilities, management strategies for developing countries, internal corporate ventures, foreign business ventures, management of knowledge workers, production/operation scheduling and union voting behavior, among others. Through this 120-credit program, you?ll earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in management . The curriculum offers three tracks: human capital management (focuses on compensation, managing diversity and leveraging human capital and knowledge); executive management (explores areas such as the principles of supervision and executive control, leadership and negotiation); and entrepreneurship (concentrates on innovation and entrepreneurship within large and small business settings). A management major prepares you for both entry-level and long-range advancement. Many graduates enter corporate training programs designed to prepare them for middle management positions and eventual advancement to top positions.
