This certificate provides students with the following benefits: Advanced study in one of three historical fields: United States history , world history, and/or applied history Possibility of acquiring experience in public history through internship experience and advanced historical research training using computers Ability to satisfy Act 48 requirements in a meaningful program, with the option of applying courses/internships taken to a future master's program The certificate program consists of the completion of twelve credit hours in one of the three historical areas of focus.
