Individuals contemplating law school or graduate study in political science, international relations, or other government-oriented programs should consider the B.A. degree in political science . Majors must take core courses in American government, international relations, and research methods. Students complete a senior-level capstone experience designed as a culmination of the development of knowledge, communication, and research skills. Internships are encouraged, and our location near Harrisburg and Washington, D.C., provides opportunities for government experience. Students have worked in the offices of U.S. senators and representatives, and members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly. Students interested in work on campaigns have participated in these opportunities in every election cycle. Students also complete internships with with national, state, and local government agencies.
