Community Counseling from Siena Heights University is a Campus Master Community Health degree that prepares you for a Healthcare career. This Master of Arts program consists of 48 semester hours of coursework and prepares individuals for the Michigan Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) credential. Immediately upon graduation, Siena graduates can receive their LLPC credential after submitting the application and fee to the Michigan Board of Counseling. Upon completion of 3000 hours of supervised counseling practice and passing the National Counseling Exam, the LLPC is then eligible for the independent Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential in Michigan. Degree Plan Early in the program, all students receive a tentative degree plan listing the sequence of courses they are to follow until graduation from the CED program. This tentative degree plan is solely for the purpose of planning and does not guarantee admission to courses nor graduation date. Since many advanced courses have prerequisites, it is important that students consult with their advisor prior to making changes to their plan.
