SCC?s Medical Assisting Program is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon recommendation of the Medical Assisting Education Review Board. Upon successful completion of the Program, the student will be awarded a diploma.SCC has an articulation agreement with Central Community College to complete an Associate of Applied Science degree in Medical Assisting. Mission The mission of SCC?s Medical Assisting Program is to offer a broad foundation in basic medical assisting skills, including an opportunity for practical experience in the physician?s office. The Medical Assisting student will have the opportunity to acquire this knowledge and become competent in the various required skills under the guidance and supervision of qualified instructors. Job Outlook Medical Assisting is projected to have a 35.4 percent growth in employment. Job opportunities should be excellent, particularly for those with formal training and certification.
