Program Format: Campus Program Level: Certificate

Bartending from Southeast Culinary & Hospitality College is a Campus Certificate Restaurant degree that prepares you for a Vocational Programs career. Learn to prepare 125 traditional drinks as well as the latest trendy drinks from behind an actual bar. Classes also include how to open and close a bar, responsible alcohol service, beer & wine service, proper sanitation practices, and the history and region of different spirits. This in-depth course will prepare each student with the skills needed to begin working behind the bar with confidence at any location within the United States. Our professional mixology class is a forty-hour class which can be completed during weekdays, weeknights or on Saturdays in our 5 week program. Bartending salaries vary by region, but a bartender in today's economy can expect to earn a salary that is above that of most entry level college grads. In addition, most of these entry-level positions with large corporations require more extensive (and expensive!) education, and entail working many more hours each week. In addition, many larger bars and restaurants offer full benefits for employees, and bartenders working for major hotels or airlines often receive additional perks like greatly reduced lodging and air fare. Bartending allows people the freedom to choose a work environment that matches their personality. A good bartender can work anywhere in the country, or in the world. Some bartenders might prefer the hotel or country club environment, while others enjoy the charm of neighborhood bars or the excitement of nightclubs. Whatever your preference, bartending can offer fun & profitable surroundings. View more details on Southeast Culinary & Hospitality College .
