Marketing from Southeastern University - Lakeland is a Campus Master Management degree that prepares you for a Business career. The recent recession has taken its toll on American businesses. But in the midst of high unemployment, a lack of trust in financial institutions, and stricter government regulations, there is a greater need than ever for innovative business leaders with a strong moral and ethical foundation. An MBA from Southeastern University gives you that foundation and more. Call it what you want, but businesspeople with a Biblical worldview have an advantage when it comes to making moral decisions at work. Christian principles are the core strength of our courses, from marketing to accounting and economics to corporate finance. We explore major concepts required to succeed in business, then show you how to analyze information and apply it in order to be an effective manager and leader. Southeastern is committed to the idea that servant leaders can be world changers, and our MBA program prepares you to be just that. Clear Objectives Our goal is not to produce statisticians, economists, or accountants. We want our MBA graduates to become more effective managers as entrepreneurs, in small businesses, in corporations, and in non-profit organizations through a better understanding of business principles. By the completion of the MBA program, graduates will be able to: Practice servant leadership with Biblically-informed values. Critically think, plan, and research contemporary business and organizational issues. Make intelligent and ethical decisions through an informed, Christian-worldview. Communicate results clearly and concisely through appropriate and effective media. Demonstrate effective decision-making skills in new and unfamiliar circumstances through an understanding of the various business functions and analysis tools. Apply theory to organizational challenges in dynamic global environments. Flexibility Once you?ve decided to pursue an MBA at Southeastern, you face the next question: Which program best suits your needs? We make it a point to offer flexible course schedules that fit the needs of busy professionals who want additional training, recent college grads who desire an MBA to boost their job search, or people looking for a quick transition to a new career field. Our MBA program has also successfully served pastors and church administrators, as well as military members and veterans. We offer tracks that will allow you to finish your MBA in 12, 16, 20, or 24 months. By taking two courses during each eight-week session (or four per semester), you can finish in 12 months. Or you could take only one course at a time and finish in two years. You also have the option to complete your degree online or in evening classes on campus. If you choose online, you will connect with your professors and classmates through our online course management system Blackboard. The constant interaction through discussion boards, email, and phone and video conferences provides valuable feedback, and you have the freedom to work from home. If you prefer a classroom setting, you will commute to Southeastern one to two nights each week for class. A Community of Christian Professionals It?s important to learn business theory and analyze case studies, but our esteemed business faculty is the most valuable resource you will have at Southeastern. We put a premium on finding professors who not only have advanced degrees and research backgrounds, but one who have extensive experience in their subject matters. Our faculty members have spent decades working in the banking industry, starting and running their own businesses, serving at major accounting firms, selling and marketing retail, working in information technology, and serving in the military. All of the knowledge and wisdom they gained from their business careers is at your disposal, presented through the Christian worldview that all our faculty members share. At Southeastern, MBA students bond and support each other. Accountants help MIS professionals crunch numbers, and church administrators trade advice with corporate comptrollers. Just a few weeks into your first semester, you'll know your fellow students well enough to write their resumes. By the end of your program, you'll be functioning like a Fortune 500 product development team, but committed to seeking eternal values over financial gain.
