The SIUC master's degree program in Food and Nutrition (with a concentration in community nutrition) and dietetic internship is dedicated to providing students the education and supervised practice experiences that facilitate entry level competence in community dietetics in accordance with the accepted principles of the American Dietetic Association and the Association of Graduate Programs in Public Health Nutrition, Inc.. The Community Nutrition graduate program is based out of the Food and Nutrition office in Quigley Hall. Students have access to computing facilities and the newly remodeled Morris Library. State-of-the-art research laboratories are available for analytical, cellular, and molecular studies. Most students perform field research at community sites off- campus. What are my career opportunities? Graduates of our combined master's degree and dietetic internship program find jobs in all areas of dietetics: community nutrition, clinical, and foodservice management.
