Business Communication from Spalding University is a Campus Master Business Communication degree that prepares you for a Communications career. The Master of Science in Business Communication (MSBC) program is the first interdisciplinary degree of its kind in the state of Kentucky. Spalding University began offering courses in the MSBC program in 2004 in response to the growing need for improved competence in leadership, oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. In national surveys, professionals reported varying levels of competence in strategic thinking, problem solving and implementation, but acknowledged their weaknesses in leadership and human relations skills. The MSBC program is designed for working professionals with a variety of academic backgrounds and career objectives. From its inception, the MSBC program has provided high quality education for leaders and aspiring leaders through partnerships with businesses by establishing employee cohorts or in the non-cohort program comprised of students from various organizations. MSBC graduates consistently report that the MSBC degree significantly enhances their employability and in preparing them for senior leadership positions in many disciplines including healthcare, banking, marketing and communication, retail, government and higher education. There is significant evidence that several alumni of the MSBC program attained senior positions in their organizations resulting from the skills and competencies they acquired in the MSBC program.
