Program Goals Identify the major ornamental plants used in Washington State and know their landscape potential. Diagnose basic causes of plant problems (i.e., insect, disease, and abiotic) and suggest appropriate remedies. Apply basic growing, planting and maintenance practices to greenhouse, container and field grown stock during the course of a year. Apply the basic concepts of greenhouse management to a commercial greenhouse business. Apply basic techniques of sexual and asexual plant propagation in the commercial production of plants.
