Our program combines the study of communications history and practical theory with hands-on experience in acting, writing, directing, and producing for media ranging from public speaking to theatre to film and television. For majors and non-majors alike, courses are designed to develop potential marketable skills as well as an appreciation of the disciplines and the ability to interpret and analyze these media intelligently. Students can choose to study a combination of the two main disciplines or they may desire to concentrate more on one side or the other. In addition, students will be exposed to other communications-related fields such as creative writing, visual arts, politics and philosophy.
