Consequently, their major purpose in pursuing the Bachelor of Applied Management degree is to advance to positions of more responsibility within their own organizations, or to increase their marketability in other organizations. The degree prepares students for a broad variety of career options, including, but not limited to starting a business, managing a family-owned business, working for a large multinational corporation, or preparing for graduate school. Program Highlights One of the most important aspects of the applied management program is that it allows students the opportunity to complete their requirements for the degree program while continuing to work in their respective jobs. Although business internship opportunities are readily available to students in the program, a majority of students opt to continue working with their respective employers while pursuing a their degrees. Students in the applied management program may participate in international study opportunities available at St. Mary's. The Innsbruck, Austria program is an international experience designed to expose students to the differences that cultural, economic, legal, political, social, and technological environments have on the way business is conducted throughout the world. Studies in either Chile or Brazil allow business majors to examine the languages, history, cultures, political economies and business environments of the Americas.
