English from Stark State College of Technology is a Campus Associate English degree that prepares you for a Liberal Arts career. The associate of arts degree in English enables students to build a solid foundation for bachelor and graduate degrees in the English discipline. Both concentrations prepare students for the pursuit of higher degrees by giving students written communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills through the concentrated English classes and general requirements for the associate of arts. The composition concentration exposes students to various types of written communication, from creative writing to grant writing. The literature concentration offers students the opportunity to study an array of different literature courses, such as Introduction to Shakespeare and Women's Literature. Both English degree concentrations require a minimum of 60 credit hours.
