A student may pursue a US Coast License as Third Assistant Engineer or Third Mate by taking Summer Sea Term II & III, and by choosing the proper courses as applied electives. The educational objectives of this program are for graduates (1) to become engineers who have the ability to practice the design, service, or operation of electrical systems or electrical power systems, and (2) to display the potential to take professional leadership positions that require an extensive engineering background.
