Syracuse University's on-campus facilities supplement a rigorous academic program. Beyond the lecture halls and laboratories, the exercise science classrooms include four gymnasiums, racquetball/squash courts, two indoor pools, dance studios, tennis courts, weight rooms and various indoor and outdoor athletic playing fields. The familiarity students have with new equipment and technology enables them to adapt more readily to the demands of the professional world. The curriculum also prepares degree candidates for a variety of professional certifications, such as those offered by the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Graduates remain among the top candidates for careers in sports medicine, exercise physiology, sports psychology, medicine, athletic administration, and physical therapy.
