Students will gain experience in research and statistical methods, enabling them to approach problems critically in an applied setting and draw upon research methodologies in designing interventions. Students will gain the ability to develop and implement surveys, selection systems, performance management systems. Students will learn the personal and interpersonal skills necessary for the business environment, such as effective communication, conflict negotiation, training and development, strategies, networking skills, business savvy, and cross-cultural awareness. Program Requirements/Expectations The Industrial/Organizational Psychology M.A. is a full-time or part-time program requiring 46 credit hours, including six electives. Intensive course work balances theory, practice, and two supervised internships. It is a two-year full-time or three-year part-time program that must be completed within five years. Students must be enrolled for a minimum of nine semester hours during fall and spring semesters to be classified as full time.
