Education from The College of Saint Rose is a Campus Master Education Science degree that prepares you for a Education career. Small classes create an atmosphere of collegiality where students can interact and develop a network of colleagues as they are guided and facilitated by College faculty and supervisors who have had experiences in diverse classroom settings and who exemplify the reflective, scholarly, caring education professional. In the Saint Rose education master's and certification-only programs, students learn about the various needs of young learners by performing their field experiences in a variety of school districts, including those with high-needs. In addition to completing nearly 100 hours of field experiences prior to student teaching, all students in the master's program complete a research seminar, EDU 590, which requires an active research project in a school setting resulting in credible, original research, often with potential for publication. For those who already hold a master's degree (including at least 36 credit hours in one of the disciplines noted above), and for those who hold a Juris Doctor, we offer a 29-credit certification-only sequence.
