Through our health and physical education program, you will be able to earn a bachelor of science in health and physical education, preparing you for a career as a physical education teacher , a coach or personal trainer. You may also choose to earn your licensure for health or for physical education. Both licensures are multi-age, K-12. With the additional licensure you are prepared to teach health and physical education elementary, middle and high schools. In addition to a solid education, our program will provide you with the knowledge that's unique to the health and physical education profession. Emphasis on Hands-On Experience Field experience is an integral part of the health and physical education program. Fieldwork starts at the beginning of your sophomore year. You will be able to observe a health professional within a 15-mile radius of the University. During your senior year, you will student teach in an area school to hone the skills you have learned.
