Nursing Nurse Anesthesia from Thomas Jefferson University is a Campus Master Nurse Anesthetist degree that prepares you for a Nursing career. Jefferson's fully-accredited Nurse Anesthesia program prepares nurses to provide anesthesia care during surgical and obstetrical procedures; and to provide pain relief in hospitals of all sizes, outpatient clinics and physicians' offices. Students in this 30-month, eight-semester program take 74 credits within three cores of study: 1) nursing that includes a research component, 2) anesthesia and 3) clinical. Its full-time curriculum integrates didactic coursework with over 1,000 hours of clinical rotations, ensuring that students will administer more than 550 anesthetics to patients undergoing a wide variety of surgical and/or diagnostic procedures. Students may be able to transfer in eligible coursework. Students with transfer credits and/or who have completed master's core courses complete the program on the same schedule as those starting with no credits.
