You may become a member of Transylvania's chapter of the American Chemical Society and, if you qualify, the Science Honorary. A bachelor's degree in chemistry provides a good foundation for a career in biochemistry, chemical engineering, environmental science, medicine, or other health care areas. Most chemists are employed in the private sector, particularly in industry, where they develop and improve products and processes.
