The School of Bible and Theology provides an intellectually stimulating curriculum and a climate that encourages the spiritual formation of the student. Each faculty and adjunct faculty member has committed his or her life to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, strongly believes that the Bible is the Word of God, and is devoted to teaching from a Christ-centered perspective. The purpose of the School is to prepare students for vocational opportunities in the various fields of Christian ministry and graduate study in the areas of biblical studies and theology. The School seeks to achieve these objectives by: 1. guiding students toward an authentic, personal, and growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; 2. assisting students in becoming familiar with the general content and meaning of the Bible , using it as the authoritative guide for faith and practice; 3. encouraging students to combine sincere convictions regarding the Word of God with honesty and openness to new insights; and 4. leading students into God-honoring investigation and inquiry concerning the great issues of life. The School offers a variety of majors which are built significantly upon courses offered by the School, but are enhanced by courses from other disciplines. While the curricula for the major are structured to provide a comprehensive foundation for biblical and theological studies, students may also choose to focus in the areas of Old Testament, New Testament, Theology, and Ministry.
