NINE units in Geology to include: GEOL 101 Introductory Geology - 1 unit GEOL 103 Intro to Earth History - 1 unit GEOL 201 Structural Geology - 1 unit GEOL 203 Mineralogy - 1 unit GEOL 204 Introductory Petrology - 1 unit GEOL 205 Sedimentation and Stratigraphy - 1 unit PLUS: (taken as electives outside the major) GEOL 104 Earth Resources & Environment - 1 unit GEOL 115 Oceans & Atmospheres - 1 unit PLUS: requirements fulfilling Track G or Track L Track G - three units including either GEOL 208 or GEOL 209 plus two electives at the 300-level. Plus: CHEM 121 and CHEM 123 AND two additional cognate courses from the following: Mathematics 141, 143; PHYS 115, PHYS 116, PHYS 167, PHYS 168; BIOL 195, BIOL 210. Track L - three units of geology at the 200-level or above (one must be at the 300-level). Plus: three cognate courses selected from: CHEM 121, CHEM 123; BIOL 195, BIOL 210; PHYS 115, PHYS 116; MATH 141, MATH 143, MATH 171, MATH 210. PLUS: (for ALL geology majors): PHYS 105. Demonstrated mathematics proficiency at the MATH 125 level.
