A minimum of 44 semester hours of chemistry including core courses: Principles of Chemistry 1 and 2, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry: Form and Function, Thermodynamics, Analytical Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry Laboratory; eight credits from among the following: Organic Chemistry II: Synthetic Strategies, Organic Chemistry Laboratory II, Multistep Synthesis, Chemical Dynamics and Statistical Mechanics, Chemical Dynamics and Statistical Mechanics Laboratory, Molecular Structure and Spectroscopy, Molecular Structure and Spectroscopy Laboratory, Molecular Modeling, Introductory Biochemistry, and Biochemical Metabolism; the chemistry Junior Seminar; four semester hours of courses at the 400-level; and the Senior Project (four semester hours).
