Master's Degree in Education or Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study Leads to a Professional Teacher Licensure in Early Childhood Education (preK-2), Elementary Education (1-6), or Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (Pre-K-8). This program is for candidates who possess an Initial License in the area of Early Childhood, Elementary, or Teacher of Students With Moderate Special Needs (Pre-K - 8) who are seeking Professional Licensure in the same field and at the same level. The program concentrates on Reading as the academic discipline area for advanced study. Program prerequisites: * Possession of an Initial Teaching License in the field and at the level of licensure sought * A completed graduate application * Two professional references from supervisors or administrators from the educational school/district of employment indicating successful service under the Initial License * An undergraduate transcript reflecting a minimum GPA of 2.67 * A personal interview with the program director or dean * Completion of three years of employment in the role of the license sought. This requirement may be completed prior to or concurrently with the Professional License program.
