Career Opportunities/ Salary Nursing is a dynamic profession, one with multiple opportunities in a variety of health care settings. The licensed practical nurse may choose to work in long-term care and assisted-living facilities, industrial settings, medical offices, private homes or acute care hospitals. The LPN contributes to the plan of care and implements nursing actions within the scope of practice to assist the ?whole? person to regain and maintain health.
