The program prepares students to achieve knowledge, skill, and competencies for; clinical research operations, project management, medico-legal principles, research ethics, clinical trial study design and study data management, research site preparations, subject screening, enrollment, recruitment, follow up visits, maintenance and dispensing of investigational product supplies, completion of case report forms and regulatory documents, and adherence to Good Clinical Practice Guidelines. The program prepares students to obtain various specialized clinical research team positions, including; Institutional Review Board Coordinator, Clinical Research Coordinator, Research Site Manager, Study Monitor, or Regulatory Affairs specialist. The AAS program adhere to the educational standards established by the leading clinical research national associations. Students are eligible to take a national certification exam offered by The Society for Clinical Research Professionals after at least one year of direct clinical research coordinating (CRC) experience and completion of the certificate of completion program, or two years CRC work experience for the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.
