Hospitals have eight and twelve hour shifts available. The program may be completed within one semester. Classes will be structured to meet needs of students. One hundred and sixty (160) hours of clinical (on-the-job) training is required upon completion of Health Core Curriculum and Health Unit Coordinator classes. Cooperative Education may be available upon completion of required HCC courses with passing grade, required HUC courses with grades above average and an excellent attendance record. Students would be interviewed and hired by the health care facility into an existing open position. Students would be hired on a probationary basis and will be paid during clinical training with the expectation of filling an open position available upon request of the health care facility.
