The Associate of Applied Science degree in this program can transfer to Bachelor of Science in computer engineering technology or electronics engineering technology programs at selected universities and colleges. Program Outcome CET graduates with an Associate of Applied Science degree from Joliet Junior College will be able to: Apply the principles of DC/AC circuit analysis, analog and digital electronics and microprocessor fundamentals to the design, testing, production, or maintenance of electronic device or equipment and their associated components. Demonstrate high reliability soldering techniques for both surface mounted technology and through-hole components. Write software programs to assist in solving engineering problems for systems associated with microprocessor/microcontroller systems. Apply electronic measurement techniques to troubleshoot electronic systems. Career Opportunities Computer engineering technicians are employed in a wide area of specialties.
