Doctor of Education Overview The Doctor of Education (Ed.D) Program in Educational Leadership is designed to accommodate the active lives of professionals who wish to assume leadership roles in K-12 settings. The Doctor of Education Program in Educational Leadership enrolls students during the Spring semester of each year. Students may enter with a master's degree but must complete the specialist degree before beginning doctoral level courses. The specialist degree requires a minimum of 40 semester hours.
