Point Park University\\\'s M.F.A. in Acting Program is for self-directed professional actors seeking to further explore their artistic potential while becoming qualified to teach at the university level. We strive to provide a stimulating, varied and flexible curriculum to meet the needs and interests of advanced, creative students. The Master in Fine Arts degree requires three years of full-time graduate study and the completion of sixty credit hours. In addition to academic studies, candidates have the opportunity to work with The REP, Point Park?s professional theatre company (casting is competitive and not guaranteed). Point Park?s Conservatory of Performing Arts is one of the very few programs in the country that offers a graduate program in the context of a resident, professional, union theatre company and operation. We only take six students every three years who represent a variety of backgrounds. All M.F.A. Acting students enter the University with Graduate Fellowships including tuition remission (some fees may not be covered), a yearly stipend of $6,400 , Equity wages as cast, and are paid the instructor rate for any classes they teach.
