You will take beginning-level courses in all major subjects during your first two years, plus advanced classes in at least two of these areas in your third year. During your senior year, you can take additional advanced design seminars in your major area of focus, as well as advanced coursework in technical construction and management. You may be offered the opportunity to be a designer or technical director for one of our companies under the supervision of professional designers/technicians. During your four years at Point Park, emphasis will be placed on building a solid portfolio and resume by working with our staff and faculty of theatre professionals, as well as acclaimed guest artists. Our four production companies, coupled with our three-venue complex, allow students to experience a broader range of technical and design challenges, making for a more versatile theatre professional.
