Research College of Nursing offers 4 graduate tracks: Family Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Educator, Executive Nurse Practice and Clinical Nurse Leader. The graduate program is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). As a Family Nurse Practitioner student, you will be exposed to a variety of settings and age groups. Experiences will take place alongside a Nurse Practitioner or Physician in community health clinics, school-based clinics, family practice and rural settings. The Family Nurse Practitioner track, is 45 credit hours and offered on a part-time basis. Seventeen (17) of the hours are offered on-line and the track also includes 660 clinical practicum hours. Graduates will be eligible for certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. The Nurse Educator track is designed to meet the needs of a variety of individuals, including those desiring to teach in an academic setting or work in adult education or staff development area. The Educator track is offered full or part-time and is primarily on-line. The total track is 36 credit hours and includes 240 practicum hours. A Post Master?s certificate is available to those with a previous M.S.N. degree . The Executive Nurse Practice track was designed for nurses interested in leadership and management roles in healthcare. The track is 35 credit hours and includes 240 practicum hours. The Executive Nurse Practice track can be completed totally on-line. The track is in partnership with the Helzberg School of Management at Rockhurst University.
