Our Master of Science program provides a bridge between an undergraduate mathematics major and further graduate study at the doctoral level, while also providing a mastery of core mathematics that enables excellence in teaching at the secondary and junior college level. Our Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics is a thirty-six credit program to be completed within a six year period that prepares students for initial licensure in secondary mathematics and enhances the mathematical and pedagogical preparation of practicing mathematics teachers. Our Master of Arts in Teaching Middle School Mathematics is a thirty-nine credit program that serves middle school teachers who already have an appropriate provisional certi?cation with advanced standing or initial license, and who wish to complete a masters degree program to become eligible to apply for professional licensure. Our Fast Track Program is an intensive program of coursework and support seminars is designed for new teachers with an academic background in mathematics who need courses in pedagogy and an initial teaching license. Courses are offered in a streamlined format in late afternoons, evenings and summers. Participants may complete the program in a year and a summer. Participants lacking content required by state and/or national standards will need to complete additional coursework.
