The College of Science at UTEP offers a master's program that is designed specifically for working teachers. The Master's of Art in Teaching (MAT) Science provides an opportunity for middle and high school teachers to earn an advanced degree taught at a level that will be of value in middle and high school classrooms. Through the Math-Science Partnership (MSP), a generous grant from the National Science Foundation, the College of Science is offering a two year, part-time master's degree in teaching science. Participants will attend two evening and/or weekend classes during the fall and spring semesters and two daytime, week day classes during the summer. The MAT in Science degree requires 36 hours of coursework and participants work their way through the program in a cohort.
