In addition to ten courses in the Department of English , students complete, among others, SED ED 100 Introduction to Education ; SED ED 410 Social Context of Education and SED ED 412 Civic Context of Education ; SED CT 521 Curriculum and Methods for Middle School (5-9) or SED CT 575 General Methods (5-12); SED EN 506 Curriculum Materials and Teaching Strategies in Secondary English ; SED RE 736 Developmental Reading Strategies II; SED SE 251 Special Education and Adolescents; SED DS 502 Introduction to Adolescent Development; and Student Teaching in English .
